Mid week run to Oxley Highway.
6-8 July 2020 (Monday to Wednesday)
Club run to explore the delights of two of the best biking roads in NSW – the Thunderbolts Way and the Oxley Highway.
Departing Windsor 09:00 on Monday 6 July and then going up the Putty Road to Singleton. Happy to meet riders along the way. From Singleton we head to East Gresford then over the Hill to Dungog and then into Gloucester for lunch. From Gloucester we run up the Thunderbolts Way to Walcha where we will stay overnight. 2 riders have already booked into the Apsley Arms Hotel but you can choose your own accommodation options.
On Tuesday we will ride the Oxley Highway, Heading to Long Flat (or other convenient location) and then using that as a base for the day for several runs along this magnificent road. In the afternoon we will head to Wauchope, where club member Ian Bray has kindly offered overnight accommodation (this is limited obviously so please let us now if you want to take up this very kind offer).
We will return to Sydney on Wednesday morning and route options are open but include the possibility of a stop at Nabiac for the National Motorcycle Museum and back via Gloucester, Singleton, Wollombi, Peats Ridge and the Old Pacific Highway.
